Software Requirements

Windows Components

• Windows Message Queuing: This component must be manually installed on the machine(s) hosting the Workflow Server and Subscriber. More info.
• Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5: Automatically installed with all Workflow components.
• Microsoft Management Console 3.0: Automatically installed with Workflow Administration Console (this component is a part of the Workflow Designer installation).
• Visual J#: Automatically installed with the Workflow Server installation.

Supported Microsoft Database Management Systems

The Laserfiche Workflow Server and Subscriber require a DBMS to store data. You can choose between Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database, and the following versions are supported:

• Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (Service Pack 1 or higher)
• Microsoft SQL Server Express 2005
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (Service Pack 3 or higher)
• Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine (MSDE)
• Oracle Database 11g (11.1.0.6.0 or higher; client and server)

  Note: For ALL of Workflow's primary components, there are separate installations for Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database. To ensure you install the correct version, use the appropriate autorun (e.g., if you prefer to use Microsoft SQL Server as your Workflow DBMS, use the Microsoft SQL Server autorun, not the Oracle Database autorun). In addition, use the same DBMS for both the Workflow Server and Subscriber (e.g., do not use Microsoft SQL Server for the Workflow Server and Oracle Database for the Workflow Subscriber).
